Current Job Openings

MSR / Teller
Southland Federal Credit Union currently has an opening for our MAIN OFFICE located in Lufkin, Texas.

The opening is for a MSR/Teller (MSR = member services representative)

The job pays starting at $8.50 per hour plus benefits.

Benefits include – Medical, Retirement, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Sick Leave and Vacation Leave. (Some restrictions apply to these benefits and can be discussed during the interview meeting)

The minimum requirements for the job:
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • 1 year banking experience in either member services and/or cash teller operations
  • Be able to handle cash and count cash back
  • Type at least 25 wpm
  • Perform 10 key touch using a calculator
  • Understand computer basics
  • Be aware of Regulations that deal with banking such as Reg. C, Reg. DD, Reg. E etc.
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be able to follow instructions both written and verbal
  • Be able to pass a background check and be bondable in the financial industry
  • Have no retail record
The following are other qualities we are looking for in an applicant, though not required they would be preferred:
  • 2 years college in finance
  • Bilingual
  • 2 years banking experience in either member services and/or cash teller operations
  • Understanding of the Regulations that affect the banking industry and how they affect the job functions as both a member services representative and/or cash teller
Other information:
Applications will be taken until 3:00 PM Friday, June 25, 2010. The credit union HR Department will contact applicants that meet the minimum requirements to set up an interview. All interviews will be determined by the credit union. (No walk-in appointments will be made).
